It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn Allison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who died on May 22, 2026, at the age of 65. Glenn was born on January 20, 1961, in Warner Robbins, Georgia, to the late Johnnie and Earl Allison.
Glenn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Alabama and spent his career as an Aerospace Engineer with MSIC. His work took him across the globe, from being part of an INF inspection team in Russia to a rapid response intelligence team in the UK.
Outside of work, Glenn enjoyed researching family history and often made detours during his travels to confirm genealogical records. He was also a talented cook who liked experimenting with ingredients and techniques. He passed that spirit of experimentation on to his children and grandchildren, though not all of them apply it in the kitchen.
In his younger years, Glenn enjoyed golfing and bowling with his co-workers. He also supported—and, when physically able, participated as a partner in—the Special Olympics in both sports.
In later years, as physical activity became more limited, he continued creating family memories by planning trips, taking and editing photos, and maintaining a family server filled with home movies and other treasured records.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Cynthia Allison; his children, Brandon and Lana Allison, Bryan Allison, and Kathryn and Matthew Gill; and his grandchildren, Amzie Easterling and Adley Allison.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 12, 2026, at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Conservatory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madison County Special Olympics or to a charity of your choice.
