Brother Glendel “Ray” Bridgmon, 82 of Arley, passed away June 19, 2023 at his residence.
He was born July 19, 1940, in Winston County, Alabama. He served as a pastor of numerous Southern Baptist churches in Cullman and Winston County for 53 years.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Addison where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Chris Godbee, Brother Chuck David, Brother Steton Hayes, and Brother Ricky Scott will officiate.
Ray is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rachell Bridgmon; daughter, Kathy Bridgmon Rivers; son, David (Kathy) Bridgmon; granddaughters, Alyssa (Billy) Johnson and Krista (Richard) Bridgmon; grandsons, Devin (Danielle) Rivers and Dustin Bridgmon; great grandsons, Ethan Wright, Caleb Wright, and Bryant Rivers; great granddaughters, Emmy Rivers, Amelia Rivers, Hatti Bridgmon, and Tallulah Bridgmon; sister, De Elliott; and nephew, Bobby Bridgmon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Ray Bridgmon; and his mother, Roselle Elliott Bridgmon.
