Ms. Glenda Joy Helton, age 71 of Guntersville, AL, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025. She was born at the Guntersville Hospital on February 2, 1954. She is survived by her son, Randy “Scooter” Cowart (wife Misty Cowart) and siblings, Victor Lumpkin, Mike Lumpkin, Mark Lumpkin, Jeff Lumpkin, and David Gamble; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Ms. Helton is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Helton and Francis Embry; and brother Buddy Helton.
Glenda’s final resting decision was cremation.
Family and friends are encouraged to attend a celebration of life at the Grant Senior Rec Center 307 2nd Ave W, Grant, AL 35747 for Saturday, August 16th at 3pm.
