Glenda Hampton Hannig, 73, Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Thomas Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park.
Glenda was a member of the DAV, Chapter 63, Sheffield, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Hannig; stepson, Bob Hannig; grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriel, and Elijah; parents, Marion and Jillian Heard Hampton; and brother, Michael Smothers.
Glenda is survived by her sons, Tommy Speegle (Sam), Eddie Speegle (Leslie), James Speegle (Julie), and Kenneth Speegle (Sara); stepsons, Dan and Randy Hannig; brothers, Donnie Hampton and Ricky Smothers (Nelda); grandchildren, Megan Henry (Jerrod), Brandon Speegle, Ryan Speegle, Zach Speegle (Kay), Kimberly Speegle, Tristan Speegle, Alyssa Speegle, Caleb Speegle, Brooklyn Vernon (Jeffrey), Coby Speegle, Caiden Speegle, Jake Wells, and Derek Wells; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be sons, and Zack Speegle and Marcus Johnson.
