Glen Elbert Kelso, age 79, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, March 09, 2017, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Wayne County, TN, retired owner, broker, and auctioneer of Century 21, Past President of Lawrenceburg Lions Club, Past President of Southern Middle Tennessee Board of Realtors, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg. Mr. Kelso served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert R. and Mable Clayton Kelso; three brothers; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Bryant Kelso of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Gregory Glen and Tina Kelso of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Gina Kelso Old of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandsons, Colt Kelso and Seth Kelso; two granddaughters, Lauren Old and Cara Old and their father, Mac Old; three sisters, Maxine Ayers of Lawrenceburg, TN, Sue Kelso of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Janis Brewer of Ledbetter, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017, with Jeff Vanlandingham officiating. Mr. Kelso will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Graveside services and interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, TN at 4:30 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017, with full military honors. Family suggests memorials be made to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.
