Gladys Odessa Weems age 95 of Athens, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Weems was born September 19, 1922 in Broomtown, GA to Henry Phoenix Jackson and Lydia Cevilla Mitchell Jackson.
Services will be Friday, March 23, 2018 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Edwin Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ison Howard Weems.
Survived by one daughter, Linda Hall; grandchildren, John David Chitwood and wife, Mary, Brent Chitwood and Christy Lynn Thomas and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Anthony Thomas, Travis Thomas, Noelle Chitwood and Gavin Chitwood; great-great grandson, Samuel; several nieces, nephew, family and friends.
