The funeral for Gladys Gayle Lanier, 77, will be Saturday, May 11th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Stuart Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:45pm, prior to the service, and burial will be in Hodges Cemetery in Pettusville.
Mrs. Lanier, who died on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, at Brookshire Healthcare Center, in Huntsville, was born September 25th, 1946, in Elkmont, Alabama, to Bob and Anna Will Holt. Gayle was a devout Christian and member of the church of Christ, last attending at Market Street before she fell ill. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Lanier, and her siblings: Sydney Holt, Gilbert Holt, Charles Holt, David Holt, Layne Holt, Bobbie Williams, and Phyllis Herrod.
Gayle is survived by her son Jason Lanier and his wife Sarah, 2 grandchildren Phoenix and Gavin Lanier, and many nieces and nephews.
