Mrs. Gladys Combre Mrs. Gladys Combre
April 8, 1937 – December 19, 2024

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, a woman of grace, warmth, and elegance, who touched the lives of many. Born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, daughter of the late Hosea Corley and Ethel Murray, she moved to Huntsville, Alabama, by way of Hurricane Katrina, where she planted roots and became an integral part of the community.

She is survived by her four cherished grandchildren: Lisa Robinson, Lucien Combre 3rd, Nicholas Combre, and Natasha Combre; three cherished great-grandchildren: Sebastian, Aleria, and London Combre; and a bonus Mom to a host of nieces, nephews, as well as many of her family members and friends, for whom she had great love.

A devoted wife to the late Lucien Combre Sr. and mother to the late Lucien Combre Jr., she was an active member of her church community. She served as the president of the stewardess board, was instrumental in the founding of the Woman Made Whole     Ministry, and chaired the Sick and Shut-In Committee. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and cared for, and her stylish presence and sassy but sweet demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and legacy will live on in our hearts        forever. She is gone but will never be forgotten.
