Gisela Cacilie Milford Gisela Cacilie Milford, 77 of Huntsville, passed away on April 28, 2023.

She is survived by her children, Angela Moon (Chris), Freddy Milford (Keli); grandchildren, Ashley Moon, Aaron Moon, Amber Milford; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Jesse, Kingston; siblings, Franz Weidinger, Tilly Imgrund; nieces, Silvia, Claudia; great nephews, Mario, Daniel; great great niece, Lili; and several cousins in the Rhineland and Austria.

Gisela was preceded in death by her parents, Franz and Johanna Weidinger; husband, Jack M. Milford; and sister, Agnes Koch.

She was a native of Germany. Gisela made her citizenship in Birmingham, AL and sometimes called herself a southern belle, with a sometime German accent.

When she came to Huntsville in 1971 to Redstone Arsenal, she immediately fell in love with this town. Thinking this is a good place to retire when the time comes. She was a stay at home mom while her husband finished his military career.  She sewed for friends and was lucky enough to take on sewing for Fred Singtons Sporting Goods, which lasted 7 years. During that time she was able to get with several high schools in town to sew cheer leading uniforms, which was very rewarding.  In 1984, she decided to go into the workforce full time, starting at SCI.  During those 32 years went through a lot of changes of names and companies. Such as, Phoenix Microsystems, TX Port, Verilink, CMI, and Lockhead Martin. After retiring, she still took care of her beloved dog, Target and two great grandsons, Jesse and Kingston.

No services are planned at this time.

Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
