A Celebration of Life service for Ginger Louise Swindle, 85 of Corinth is set for 2pm on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel on Highway 72 in Corinth. Visitation will be from 11am – 2pm at the same location. Friends and family are invited to join us as we honor her memory and the remarkable love she gave us all.
Ginger Louise Swindle of Corinth, MS was born on January 3, 1940 and died on August 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Ginger was the very definition of sweet, kind, and loving. She cared deeply for everyone she met and had a special way of making you feel like family, whether you were or not. Her heart was generous, and her love was fierce— if she loved you, you knew it without a doubt.
She was a woman of great strength and determination with incredible work ethic. Ginger did her best at everything she did. Whether providing for her family or tending to her home, she poured herself fully into the task at hand. She never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need, often doing it without a second thought.
Her greatest joy was her family and she poured her love into them every single day. She will be remembered most for her unwavering love, kindness, selfless spirit and her ability to make everyone feel seen, valued and loved.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Livy and George Fowler; her husband, Charles Swindle; her brothers, Henry Fowler (Laverne), Alfred Fowler (Helen) and William Fowler (Thelma); her sisters Virgie Deverell and Sara Root; her brothers and sisters-in-law, J.P. Pruitt and John Delashmit, Peggy Fowler, Leon Cummings (Jo) and Neal Swindle (Cathy); her great grandchild, Katlyn Drew Horton and her father and mother-in-law, Lester and Hazel Swindle.
She was survived by her sons, Rodney Swindle (Carolyn) and Randy Swindle; her daughters, Marcie Horton (Johnny) and Christy Hinton (Teddy); her sisters, Marie Pruitt and Sylvia White; her brothers, Dudley Fowler (Betty Lou), Richard Fowler, Troy Fowler (Brenda); her grandchildren, Johnny Horton Jr. (Tanya), Stephanie Horton, Derek Swindle (Lauren), Cody Swindle (Savannah), Daniel Hinton (Holly), Patrick Hinton (Summer), Hunter Swindle, Kristin Swindle; her great grandchildren, Lexie Horton, Emily Horton, Ciera Horton, Charles Preston Swindle, Ella Swindle, Amelia Swindle, Beaux Barnett, Gemma Swindle, Livy Brook Hinton, Lana Hinton, Lyza Hinton, Kaeman Sowell, Paxton Hinton, Selah Hinton, and Grayson Hinton; her great, great grandchild, Jaiden Horton, and great, great grandchild on the way Sevaya Nicole Horton; other relatives and a host of friends.
