Ginger D. Stephens, 68, of Huntsville, AL passed away on August 25, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1957, in Birmingham, AL to William H. and Bertie Mae Hare Stephens.
Ginger was the epitome of a Southern woman – she was a beauty who excelled in school and work, setting off on a distinguished 35-year career as a US Government Public Affairs and Legislative Liaison professional. She had an internal strength that was obvious, and she put incredible effort into all she did, whether it was selecting a thoughtful gift that would be wrapped beautifully or spending hours in the kitchen creating a gourmet meal. She was giving and so dedicated to those she loved and cherished. The brightest spot in her life was being a mother to her two boys. Her children were her greatest accomplishment. She was a wonderful hostess and an even better friend. Ginger spent her later years dedicated to caring for her parents in their declining years. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Ginger is survived by her sons, Walker Snyder (married to Mandy Snyder) and Hunter Snyder (married to Paige Snyder); her grandchildren, Raylon, Myla Mae, Sophia, and Camille; her brother, William D. Stephens (married to Christina J. Stephens); and her niece and nephew, Lily Parker Stephens and William Colter Stephens. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Bertie Mae Hare Stephens.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a funeral service at noon on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). The family welcomes flowers to honor Ginger’s memory.
