Gina Berry Murphy – Obituary

GinaBerry Murphy, age 54 of Haleyville, entered into rest on Saturday, September 14, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Murphy was born on August 23, 1959 in Haleyville. She was a member of Waldrop Free Will Baptist Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Winston County High School and a 1981 graduate of Northwest Alabama State Technical College. She enjoyed ceramics, playing games, watching television, and going to yard sales.

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2013 from 1-4pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where the service will be at 4pm. Brother Jeff Boyles and Brother Hugh Cavender will officiate.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jerry Murphy; parents, Parnell and Betsy Cavender Berry; sister, Tina (Ronald) Gosa; niece, April Gosa, nephews, Scotty Gosa and Alex Murphy; mother in law, Laveda Murphy; sister in law, Sherry Murphy; a host of great nieces, great nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins; and her three little four-legged babies, Sunshine, Abby, and Tinkerbell.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Idella Jack Berry and maternal grandparents, Ottis and Luvenia Taylor Cavender.

The family would like to thank Dr. Keith Morrow and Dr. Lloyd Dyas and their staff for all the loving care they have given to Gina over the years. They would also like to thank the staff at Russellville Hospital for everything they had done for her.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Although Gina didn’t have much, she would always give to those seeking donations at Walmart.
