Giles Anthony Ketterer, 53, of Afton, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
He was born on September 9, 1961 in Waynesboro, son of Rita France Ketterer of Waynesboro and the late Charles Clifford Ketterer.
Giles worked at White’s Truck Stop. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as cook-outs with his friends on Afton Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Barbara.
In addition to his mother he is survived by four sisters, Nanette Ketterer of California, Michele Morgan (Larry) of Roanoke, Denise Eavers (Scott) of Stuarts Draft, and Paula Blackhall (Russell) of Scotland; two brothers, Stephen Ketterer (Diane) of Palmyra and Brian Ketterer (fiancée Flo Anderson) of Stuarts Draft; four nieces and nephews; and his special cat, Bobby.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 9:00 PM.
