Funeral for Gilbert Matthew Garrison, 68, of Hillsboro will be Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Marvin Gillespie and Reverend Charles Maples officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Garrison died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born, July 26, 1948, to Jim Garrison and Pearline Bolling Garrison. He owned Garrison Logging for 30 years. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Garrison; two sons, Brad (Shelley) Garrison and Chad (Tara) Garrison; two daughters, Tabitha (Chris) Cahela and Tammy (Doug) Keenum; one brother, James Garrison; one sister, Jewel Garrison; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Milford Knight, Chris Cahela, Samuel Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Scott Henderson and Ricky Knight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Johnson, Loyd Johnson, Lawrence Terry, James Knight and Stacy Knight.
