Mrs. Gertrue K. Brown, age 96, of Arab, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Huntsville.
Mrs. Brown is born on March 16, 1923 to James Andrew Kilpatrick and Jennie Rebecca Decker Kilpatrick. She was married to the late Erskin Brown who passed in April 11, 2015. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her sisters, Gladys Hubbard, Mary R. Kilpatrick; host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, James Andrew Kilpatrick and Jennie Rebecca Decker Kilpatrick; husband, Erskin Brown; brothers, Hoyt Kilpatrick, Roy Kilpatrick, Luther Kilpatrick; sister, Frances Henry.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Andrew Hutchens, officiating. Entombment will be in the Brookwood Cemetery Mausoleum with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
