Gertrude Louise Holt, age 88, passed away Aug. 13, 2016. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Cloverdale Church of Christ with Jack Flowers and Sonny Bogus officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Holt; parents, Mac and Velma Haddock; sisters, Neva Darby, Mae Daniels, and Vera Lawson; and brothers, Alton Haddock, Euel Haddock, J.T. Haddock, Burner Haddock, and Ray Haddock.
She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Simpson (Raymond), Nina Raye, Faye Fulmer (Charlie), and Martha Lee; special niece, Regina Risner (Phillip); special nephews, Wayne Holt (Jean), Kenny Holt (Rejetta), and Ronnie Holt (Misty); special great-nephews, Wesley Risner (Jana, Bryce, Seth, Maddie) and Tyler Risner; sister-in-law, Christine Holt; and many other wonderful nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Holt, Kenny Holt, Wesley Risner, Tyler Risner, Billy Darby, and Michael Lee. Honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Risner.
