Gertrude Arthella Cole, 87, of Florence, passed away Nov. 2, 2013, at Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, from 1–2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Tom Phillips. Burial will follow in Walston Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, George and Madgie Cooper, husbands, Floyd Hayes, Rexford White, and Cecil Cole, four brothers, five sisters.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Followay; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
