Ms. Gertha B. Killion, age 88, of Arab, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her residence.
Ms. Killion was born on April 22, 1930 in Blount County to William Henry Beasley & Mae Belle Hunt Beasley. She retired from the city of Arab where she drove the Senior Citizens Bus. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing and loved taking care of her grandsons.
She was a member of Arab First Baptist Church.
Ms. Killion is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Don Martin, David Martin & Conni, Micah Killion & Amy; grandchildren, Benjamin Martin & Molly, Christopher Martin & Cheris, Danny Killion; brothers & sisters-in-law, Hugh Beasley & Le, Bill Beasley & Barbara; sister, Lau Jacobs; host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents William & Mae Belle Beasley; 6 brothers; 1 sister.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Dr. Clint Landry, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
