Monkey was born December 11, 1965 in Limestone County to David Greenhaw and Lucy Davis Greenhaw. He was a respected autobody repairman for over 20 years and then changed professions to a handyman until he became disabled in 2011. Monkey was known for his work ethic and put his heart into everything he did. He met his wife Cathy when they were 18 years old and they grew up together. He loved the outdoors, horseback riding, and especially riding the backroads with his daughter listening to Hank Williams Jr. In later years, he loved to kayak and just spend time floating down the river. Anyone that knew him knew how much he loved to pick at those he cared about. He especially loved to pick at his grandson, nieces, and nephews. He loved his grandson most of all and he was happiest when he was spending time with him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Monkey was preceded in death by his parents.
Monkey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cathy Greenhaw of Elkmont; daughter, Kristi Webster (Chris) of Elkmont; grandson, Grant Webster; siblings, Barry Greenhaw of Athens, Carol Usery of Elkmont, Pat Kelley (Frankie) of Elkmont, and Greg Greenhaw of Athens; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
