Geraldine R. Logan, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2017 at the age of 78. Her visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Kirk Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Geraldine was a nurse for 42 years, 35 of which were spent with Dr. John P. Mims. She also served several years as a caregiver to numerous friends and family. She was a member of the Tuscumbia Church of Christ. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Edna Rikard; brother, Melvin Rikard; and sister, Evelyn Pounders.
She is survived by her son, Tony Logan (Katie); and sisters, Gloria Sertic, Carolyn Taylor, Lois Sparks, and Barbara Masonia.
Pallbearers will be Jim Lewis, Stuart Setliff, Wes Holland, Robert Evans, Max Todd, and Greg Scoggins.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. John P. Mims.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Jeremy Thompson, Dr. Lynn Ridgeway, the staff on the 4th floor at Helen Keller Hospital, Hospice of North Alabama, Jessica Jones RN, and special caregiver, Jonelle Roberts.
