Geraldine Prince, age 80, of Russellville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at Arabella / Russellville Health Care.
Geraldine loved her church, Russellville Church of God (Gateway) and attended for as long as she could. She was a proud military wife, who loved and supported her husband during several deployments. She worked in several banks over the years. She loved everyone, but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her time at the nursing home and loved spending time with her friend, Dale. She was a jewel of a woman, who leaves many wonderful memories for her family.
She was preceded in death her husband of 48 years, Eurdene Prince I; sons, Donald Wayne Prince, Ricky Prince; parents, Joe Cephas & Blanche (Hallmark) Swims; and brother, Ralph Vernon Swims.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Timothy Michael Prince (Anitra), Jeffery Eugene Prince, Donald Wayne Prince II (Kassie); grandchildren, Tosha Swearingen (Cyrus), Tiffany Fowler (Johnny), Ashley Tinker (Nathan), Alex Prince (Alyssa), Richie Prince (Brittney), Brian Prince, Jaxon Prince; 10 great-grandchildren and counting; siblings, Shirley Jean Prince, Thomas Derrel Swims, Joe Verlon Swims, Irene Leek; and numerous nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Bro. Nick McSpadden will officiate the service. Burial will be at Jonesboro Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Don Prince, Richie Prince, Johnny Fowler, Nathan Tinker, Cyrus Swearingen, and Brian Prince.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Russellville Healthcare for taking such good care of Mom for almost 8 years. She loved each and every one of you. We want to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of North Alabama for your care. Last but not least, we want to thank Dale Moore for being such a good friend to our mom, for loving her and always being there.
