Geraldine Lewis Thigpen, 82, of Rogersville died Thursday, July 17, 2014. She was a member of Romine Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Matt Thigpen & Cedric McNeill officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her parents, Emil & Blanche Lewis; husband, R.L. “Junior” Thigpen; sisters, Marie Cosby, Dorothy Grigsby and brother, Paul Lewis. She is survived by her children, Delora Davis Painter, Jan (Terry) White, Ricky (Cindy) Thigpen, Steve (Teresa) Thigpen and Connie (Tony) Thornton; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Betty Faust and numerous nieces and nephews.
