Geraldine Kiser Carr, 89, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Carr, and a son, David Eugene Carr. She was a devoted and lifetime member of Disciples of Christ Churches. She was a member of the Order of Easter Star. Mrs. Carr was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved being with her family. She created many beautiful hand sewn quilts and other beautiful projects.
Survivors include her children, Diane Campbell (Sam), Glenn Carr (Kay), Lt. Col. Dwight Carr (Takky), and Debra Chandler (Chris); eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Donnagene Meeting and Marilyn Ann Sackinger; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at Monte Sano United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with the Rev. Beth Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
