Memorial services for Ms. Geraldine “Gerrie” Hartzog, 74, of Eufaula, will be held today, July 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. from Kent Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. Hospice Chaplain Tim Stevenson will officiate with Kent Funeral Home directing. Visitation for Ms. Hartzog will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Ms. Hartzog died Monday, July 8, at her residence after an extended illness.
Born November 25, 1938, in Athens, Limestone County, Ms. Hartzog was the daughter of the late Carroll and Thelma Ella Phillips Pugh. She had lived in Eufaula since May 2012. She was retired after 37 and a half years with North Western Airlines.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Ginger Hartzog, Clayton; a daughter and son-in-law, Dana H. and Winfred Griggs, Seale; a brother and sister-in-law, John William and Shirley Pugh, Rogersville; a grandson, John Vernon Griggs; three step grandchildren, Frankie Adams, Brooke Mason and Jason Tibbs; and four step great- grandchildren, Averie and Dempsey Adams and Sawyer and Crawford Mason.
