Gerald Wayne Hubbard, 84, of Madison, Alabama passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Hubbard and Francis Boyle Hubbard, as well as his wife, Margaret Hubbard.
He is survived by two sons, Eric (Tammie) Hubbard and Kenneth (Lori) Hubbard, two brothers, Hugh (Melanie) Hubbard and Michael (Gayle) Hubbard, six grandchildren; Sarah, Jack, Jakeb, Stephanie, Stephen, and Jeremy, as well as five great grandchildren, Arianna and Maya, Brooke, Logan and Atlas.
Gerald lived around the Madison area for half his life and was a Southern Baptist in faith. A proud retired veteran for the United States Navy, both his children would follow in his footsteps serving in both the United States Navy and the United States Army.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Yvonne Harris for being such a wonderful friend and caregiver/guardian angel to Gerald.
The family has made plans to have a private service at a later date.
