Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was cherished by his family. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years. He loved to fish, hunt, and play golf, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Kathy Downs Henderson; daughters, Michelle Mount, and Melissa Jesiolowski (Dave); grandchildren, Gerald Mount, Tyler Holt (Ben), Dylan Hereford (Lisa), Brennan Castello, Braxton Baudier, and Bailey Baudier; and great grandchildren, Ella Mount, and Scarlett Hereford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Henderson; mother, Dorothy Henderson; sister, Brenda Lewis; and brother, Gene Henderson.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Matt Helms and Dr. Jody Gamble officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Mount, Tyler Holt, Dylan Hereford, Erik Downs, Billy Ray Downs, Brennan Castello, Braxton Baudier, Ben Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Max Downs, Billy Garner, David Tiffin, Jim Stephens, Don Weaver, and Jerry Wynn.
