A graveside committal service for Gerald Ray Gill, age 62, of Louisiana, formerly of Millerville will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 beginning at 11:00 A.M. in the Ashland City Cemetery, with Bro. David Holcombe officiating.

He was a native of Clay County, after graduating from Bibb Graves High School he attended Troy State University. Gerald lived and worked in Montgomery and the south Alabama area for many years; before moving to Denham Springs LA where he had lived for the past several years. He worked as a Customer Service Rep at various convenience store chains for many years. Even while facing significant health challenges, Gerald’s dedication to his work never wavered. He continued working until shortly before his passing.

He is survived by two brothers: James Gill of Alexander city, and Darrell Gill of Millerville; Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie Jim Gill and Sadie Williams Gill of Millerville; two Sisters: Betty Jean Marler (Willis)and Peggy Lou Watts(Harold), both of Ashland; two Brothers: Grady Gill (Glenn) of Madison Ga, Harold Gill of Millerville and beloved sister in law, Dianne Gill of Alexander City.
