Gerald Livingston – Obituary

Gerald Livingston, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, passed away on July 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born in Lexington, SC on Nov. 24, 1937. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1959 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. After college, Gerald joined the US Air Force and served from 1959 to 1962. Gerald Livingston married the love of his life, Ann (DeBerry) Livingston, on August 7, 1960. They were happily married for nearly 55 years. He spent most of his career working for Teledyne Brown Engineering and USBI. After retiring he enjoyed volunteering with Habitat for Humanity working on homes and C.A.S.A. building wheelchair ramps. Gerald Livingston was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and J.C. Livingston. He is survived by his wife, Ann, a brother, Donald (Susan) Livingston and three daughters Lori (Dan) Cole, Cindy (Doug) Hoisington, Dena (Jon) Herron. Gerald was blessed with wonderful grandchildren: Samantha and Jimmy Stewart, Casie Cole, Andrew Hoisington, Daniel Hoisington, Michael Hoisington, Cara Herron, Carrie Hoisington, William Herron and Hannah Hoisington. Fallon Stewart is Gerald’s one and only great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Huntsville Alzheimers Association at 117-A Longwood Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35801 or 256-880-1575. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday July 13, 2015 at 3pm at Latham United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends starting 2pm. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
