Mr. Gerald L Bourrell, 83, of Hartselle, al., passed away on March 2, 2025 at Tutt Fann veteran’s nursing home. He was a former resident of Laurel, Ms. He retired from Howard Industry as a truck driver and had driven for several companies over the years. He was born Sept. 17, 1941 in Kankakee, Illinois, to Mr. Fred Bourrell and Leona Spence Bourrell. He married Marylou Surprenant on Jan. 27, 1968.
He has two living children, as well as a son-in-law and daughter-in-law. They are Dawn Bourrell Rayburn and Jeff of Madison, AL., and Gerald Bourrell Jr. and Megan of Huntsville, AL. He has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He has one surviving sister, Ruth Depoister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marylou, his brothers- Larry Bourrell and Jim Bourrell; his parents, and his daughter, Rosanne Smith.
Celebration of life services will be on Thursday March 13th, 2025 at 3:30 PM with visitation at 2:30 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, al with Father Bryan Lowe officiating. Peck Funeral Home assisted the family.
