Gerald F. Fisher – Obituary

Gerald F. Fisher was born November 2, 1926 in Walnut Grove, TN the son of the late Cecil and Gladys Northcutt Fisher.

He was united in marriage to Rothie Nell Middleton on January 28, 1949.

Mr. Fisher worked for TVA as a right-away foreman and McNairy County Board of Education as a bus driver. He was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church in Michie, TN and served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. He loved his family, fishing, hunting and farming.

Mr. Fisher departed this life on June 28, 2016 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 89 Years, 7 Months, 26 Days. He is survived by his wife of of 67 years, Nell Fisher of Michie, TN; a daughter, Kim Boals and husband Clint of Selmer, TN; a son, Brent Fisher and wife Sydney of Michie, TN; two sisters, Rheba Carter and husband Don of Bruton Branch, TN, Gay Brown and husband Don of Michie, TN; two brothers, Paul Fisher of Selmer, TN, Larry Fisher and wife Pat of McLemoresville, TN; sister-in-law, Bettye Fisher Curtis and husband Travis of Michie, TN; four grandchildren, Chris Fisher, Chad Fisher, Paige Jetton and husband David, Jesse Harrison and wife Felicia; four great grandchildren, Melana Fisher, Jacy Fisher, Ansley Jetton, Mary Katherine Harrison; special friend who was like a daughter, Brenda Rickman and husband, Ken of Stantonville, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by two brothers, Woodson and Dale Fisher; two sisters, Mary Lou Bryant and Margie Chandler; sister-in-law, Linda Fisher.
