A memorial service to celebrate Georgie’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, Trenton, TN in her honor. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until service time.
Georgie Ann (Myers) Dale, of Trenton, TN, formerly from Canton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on October 18, 1948, in Point Pleasant, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Myrtle Myers. She graduated from Brick Township High School in 1966.
Georgie’s journey with her beloved husband began in 1966 when they met through mutual friends. Their connection was instant, and they started on a journey of love and companionship that spanned 55 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Georgie and Larry were blessed with two wonderful children, Matthew Phillip and Leo Beth Ann, who brought them immense joy and pride.
Georgie’s professional journey began at Southern Bell in 1971, where she started as a telephone operator in the Lawrenceville, GA TSPS. Through her dedication and hard work, she climbed the ranks, eventually transitioning to Manager of CFO Access Results (BookClose) with AT&T. Her career spanned an impressive 30+ years.
Georgie was a woman of many passions and joys in life. She found immense pleasure in the simple things – from the pages of a good book to the world she explored through her travels. She cherished her time spent on the golf course with dear friends (GNO Ladies), where laughter and camaraderie were abundant. Yet, above all, Georgie’s heart belonged to her family. She found her greatest happiness in their company, cherishing each moment spent together.
Georgie is survived by her loving son, Matthew Phillip (Teresa) Dale of Bloomington, MN, her cherished daughter, Leo Beth Ann (David) Horton of Trenton, TN, and her adored grandson, Joshua Michael Horton of Lynchburg, VA, as well as numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Phillip Dale, who she shared many beautiful years with, father, George Myers and mother, Myrtle Miller Myers.
Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Georgie Ann (Myers) Dale’s light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those she touched, forever remembered with love and fondness.
