FLORENCE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Lauderdale County involving a motorcycle has taken the life of a Georgia man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. Saturday, September 19, has claimed the life of a Georgia man.
Kenneth L. Franks, 73, of Dalton, Ga., was fatally injured when the 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck several trees.
Franks was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 14, approximately seven miles west of Florence, in Lauderdale County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
