Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Louise Brisentine, age 84 will be held on Saturday June 13, 2026, at 12 PM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt, TN with Steve Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery near Humboldt, TN. Visitation with the family will be on Friday June 12, 2026, starting at 6 PM until 8 PM and on Saturday from 10:30 AM until service time at 12 PM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home.

Georgia Louise Brisentine of Humboldt passed away on Sunday June 7, 2026, peacefully at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital in Jackson, TN surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 31, 1942, in Trenton TN the daughter of the late Murry and Ruby Williams. On July 2, 1960, Georgia married the love of her life, James Brisentine. Together they built a beautiful life and nurtured a devoted family. Georgia was an exceptional and compassionate mother who dedicated her life to her three children and opened her heart and home to several foster children throughout out the years.

Beyond her profound commitment to her family, Georgia was deeply passionate about her missionary work with Church Building Ministries Inc, where she faithfully served for over 20 years helping to build churches.

Georgia’s life was a reflection of her unwavering faith, leaving a lasting legacy of love, humility, and service to others. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Murry and Ruby (Fowler) Williams; a daughter, Amy Brisentine; two brothers, Thomas and Billy Rae Williams; and a sister, Dorothy Lee Williams.

Georgia is survived by her husband, James Brisentine of Humboldt; a daughter, Stacy Brisentine Gatlin of Trenton; and two sons, Jim Brisentine and Marcela Gomez of Memphis and Chris and wife Cara Brisentine of Hernando, MS; a sister, Mary Ann and husband Ron Cupples of Dyersburg; four brothers, Jack and wife Sandy Williams, Robert and wife Bonnie Williams both of Humboldt, David and wife Regina Williams of Jackson and Jerry and wife Julie Williams of Brownsville; eight grandchildren, Allie and husband Thomas Mogish, JD Brisentine, Cutter and wife Kennedy Gatlin, Conner Gatlin and Leah Alsip, Madison Brisentine, Savannah Brisentine, Elijah Brisentine, and Alaina Vazquez; and three great-grandchildren, Rosalie Moxley, Georgia Kate Gatlin and Montana Clarie Gatlin.
