Georgia Avenue Structure Fire In Florence Contained Within 20 Minutes

FLORENCE-Just after 10:00 am this morning (1/12/2026) Engines #1, #3, #4, Tower #1, and Battalion #1 responded to a structure fire in the 300 block of Georgia Avenue. The first fire units arrived in two minutes to find heavy smoke and fire showing throughout the structure.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes, and continued to work approximately an hour to fully extinguish the fire.

Initial reports were that there were possibly two people inside the residence. Fire crews conducted a thorough search and found no one inside.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by Florence Fire Investigators.
