Georgia Annie Ford age 94 of Athens, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Ford was born May 6, 1920 in Richmond County, GA to William M. Scoggins and Maggie Wingard Scoggins.
Services will be Friday, April 17, 2015 11:00 a.m., at Sardis Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Keenum officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sardis Springs Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ford was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother.
Survived by her husband, George Ford, Sr. of Athens; three daughters, Ann Rook of Richmond, VA, Dorothy Langley and husband EL of Edgefield, SC and Barbara Clanton and husband, Phil of Madison, AL; three sons, George Ford, Jr. and wife, Susan of Athens, Tommy Ford and wife, Donna of Clarksville, AR and David Ford and girlfriend Marcia of Huntsville; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Sam Rooks, Danny Langley, Chris Frasier, James Ford, George Ford and Ryan Ford.
