George William Conn age 78, of Arab passed away Sunday Oct. 31, 2021, at his residence. George was born on Nov. 26, 1942, in Marshall County, AL the Son of Tom and Lelia Richardson Conn. He worked for Guntersville Water Dept. for over 20 years and had operated B & C Backhoe and Construction for years. He was a member of Henryville United Methodist Church and had attended New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by his Wife of 39 years, Mary Sue Mann Conn; Sister: Betty Hamilton; Son: Andy (Peggy) Conn; Step Sons: Jimmy (Alethia) Bradley, Jeff (Jeanie) Bradley and Scott (Amy) Bradley; 5 Grandchildren and Step Grandchildren and 10 Great and Step Great Grandchildren; Host of Family and Friends. Preceded in death by Parents: Tom and Lelia Richardson Conn; Brothers: Jimmy Conn and Ervin Conn; Sister: Martha Jo Told. Funeral Service will be Wed. Nov. 3, 2021, at 2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jerry Burgett and Bro. Greg Stone, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Jeff Bradley, Jim Bradley, Scott Bradley, Larry Croley, Jeff Davis and Brian Narrell. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Conn, Heath Mann, John Ray Mann and Kevin Morton. Visitation will be from 12-2 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel.
