Funeral service for Billy Sims, 86, will be Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hartselle First Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Wells and Rev. Mike Pope officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hartselle First Methodist Church.
Mr. Sims died on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born October 5, 1936, in Morgan County, to John Vol Sims and Margaret Marie Freeman Sims.
He was employed as the Plant Foreman for Monsanto of Decatur, prior to his retirement. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Catherine Ann Sims, a son: John Dunaway Sims, his parents and two brothers: Johnny and Jackie Sims.

Pallbearers will be Will Ellis, Jay Terry, Andrew Sims, Matthew Chunn, Jon Watson and Wes Watson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the First Methodist Church of Hartselle, Alabama- Good Samaritan Fund.
