George Stanley Jenik, age 66, passed away on January 13, 2021. George was born on October 15, 1954 in Fort Benning, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda (Mandy) Washburn Jenik; father, George Jenik; mother, Katherine Rose Kolk Jenik; sister, Susan Jenik; and mother-in-law, Joy Washburn. Survivors include his sons, Jeremy Galloway (Chelsea) and Steven Jenik (LaTasha); daughter, Jamie Lee (Kyle); grandchildren, Caleb Cornelius, Quintin Brown, Brooklyn Lee, Peyton Jenik, Aubrie Lee, Eliot Galloway, and Katherine Lee; brothers and sisters, Katherine Kelly (Lawrence), John Jenik, Robert Jenik, James Jenik, Steven Jenik, Gloria Shayne (Carl); brother and sisters-in-law, Joey and Laurie Pierce, Tony and Jennifer Rains; and father-in-law, Garry Burton Washburn.
George was a precious man who was devoted to his family and enjoyed his time hunting.
Visitation at will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 19 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, Al. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Bro. Ed. Johnson officiating.
