George Rodney Davis, age 56, of Anderson, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 27, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be 2 p.m. today, Oct. 28, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Jimmy Grisham officiating. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, of Anderson, and was a retired carpenter with McConnell Builders.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mamie Davis, and sister, Melinda Davis.
Survivors include his sisters, Cheryl Cole (Roger), and Janice Hicks (Larry); brothers, Ellis Davis, Steven Davis (Sondra), and Keith Davis (Linda); several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Jackie Miller. You may sign the guest register at sprywilliams.com.
