George Robert Jordan, Sr., 82, formerly of Anderson, Indiana, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his residence.
He was employed by Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana. In 1983 he transferred to Saginaw/Delphi where he retired after 25 years of service.
He is survived by four daughters, Edna Melson, Rosemary (David) Pointer, Georgia Jordan, Marilyn Jordan, all of Decatur; three sons, George (Evelyn) Jordan, Jr. of Jackson, TN, Larry Goolsby of Anderson, Indiana, Timothy (Angela) Jordan of Decatur; 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at noon at United Jubilee House of Prayer, Bishop Thomas D. Strong Pastor-Officiating. Burial in Calvary Memorial Gardens. Sharpley Funeral Home, directing the services. The body will be in church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Henrietta Garth-Sharpley Memorial Chapel.
