George “Ricky” Matheny, 56, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at NHC Healthcare Moulton.
Funeral will be today, April 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Grover Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his sister, Ann (Bobby) Cannon, Hartselle; brothers, Robert Matheny and Bruce (Kathy) Matheny, both of Moulton; brother-in-law, Larry Porter, Moulton; three nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews and one great-niece.
Pallbearers will be Larry Porter, Larry Cheatwood, Scotty Porter, Hunter Morgan, Glenn Thompson and Matt Woodruff.
Ricky spent his time working on small engines and was proud of being an honorary fireman for the City of Decatur. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Matheny and sister, Pam Porter. The family would like to give special thanks to NHC of Moulton and Hospice of the Valley.
