George R. Miller, 91, of Rogersville, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at El Reposo Nursing Facility.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27th from 1 – 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with funeral mass to follow. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was a native of the Oliver Community. He was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School, University of North Alabama and the University of Alabama. He worked for Jefferson County and Lauderdale County School Systems as a teacher, coach and administrator. He loved animals, farming and football.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, William & Lucille Miller; wife, Freddie Miller; brothers, Harley Neil Miller and Edward “Babe” Miller; son, George Lewis Miller. He is survived by his children, Patrick Miller and Marie (John) Wilke; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Marilyn) Miller; sister-in-law, Kathryn Miller and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
