George Orville Williams, Jr. “Junie”, passed away in Athens, AL, at Athens Limestone Hospital, on Friday, March 28, 2025. Mr. Williams was born on November 17, 1942, in Nashville, TN, to parents George Orville Williams, Sr., and Marietta Vaupel Williams.
He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Patricia Rogers Williams; sons Todd, Cayce (Christie), and Nick; sister Sherry Williams Goode (Rod); and nine grandchildren: Avery, Matthew, Davis, Philip, Ellie, Anderson, Arden, Amelia, and Noah.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents and brother Stevie.
Visitation for Mr. Williams will be Friday, April 4th, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A Tribute service will be Saturday, April 5th, at 2:00 pm at Athens Bible School Gymnasium. He will lie in state from 12:00-2:00 pm.
