George Lee Thompson, 71 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at his home.
Born Wednesday, December 9, 1942 in Larkinsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Thompson and the late Ola May Petty Thompson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his family and friends. He especially loved his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Ruby Louise Lawson, and a brother: John Thompson.
Surviving are sons, George Lee Thompson III of Huntsville, AL, Vince Wayne Thompson of Harvest, AL, Anthony John Thompson of Ardmore, AL and Adam Wade Thompson of Scottsboro, AL, daughter, Maria Lynn Kelley of Toney, AL, sister, Ruth Black of Albertville, AL, ex-wife: Nancy Marie Duncan of Athens, AL, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
The family will have a graveside service, Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Gatlin Cemetery.
