George Kendrick “Ken” Williams II of Huntsville passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.
Born on March 2nd, 1957, in Huntsville, Alabama, Ken was a proud 1975 graduate of J.O. Johnson High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama and later became a Certified Public Accountant. Over the course of more than 40 years, Ken built a respected career in Huntsville, Alabama, Live Oak, Florida, and Pensacola, Florida, serving his clients and the State of Florida with integrity and dedication.
Ken never met a stranger and was truly the life of every gathering. His deep love for family and friends was evident to all who knew him, and he especially cherished his grandson, Holden, who was the light of his life. Ken loved spending time outside, attending music festivals, and cheering passionately for Alabama football. Roll Tide! He also took great pride in the legacy of his grandfather, Major General Holger Toftoy, whose contributions to the development of the space program after WWII had a lasting impact on the Huntsville community.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Attorney George K. Williams and Doris Toftoy Williams.
He is survived by his loving sons, Christopher Williams and John Williams; his stepson, James Walker; his beloved grandson, Holden Williams; his sister, Candi Williams Randolph; his brothers, Mark (Elizabeth) Williams and Dan (Connie) Williams, several cousins, and a wide circle of devoted friends.
A Celebration of Life honoring Ken will be held on Friday, December 12th, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Moe’s Barbecue, 102 St. Louis St., Madison, AL 35758.
