George Hershell “Runt” Chambers Jr., 64, of Double Springs, entered into rest Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence.
He was born October 8, 1950 in Moulton. George was a 1969 graduate of Winston County High School. He is known as “Runt”.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 1-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will follow at 2pm. Brother Donnie Carroll and Brother Kenny Sudduth will officiate. Burial will be in Houston Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Chambers; brother, Mike (Jerice) Chambers; sisters, Judy (Clint) Rice and Janet Curtis. He was Uncle Runt to 4 nephews, Chris Rice, Casey Rice, Shaun Curtis, Cullen Beasley, 3 nieces, Jessica Narramore, Malarie Beasley, Michaela Chambers and 1 great nephew, Alex Narramore.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hershell Chambers Sr.; grandparents, G.W. and Ola Chambers and Milous and Georgia Stewart.
