George Fred Schmohl, Jr., 72, husband of Laurie Gray Schmohl, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born February 16, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama, he was the son of George Schmohl Sr. and Marion Schmohl Cooper, who have preceded him in death.
He is survived by daughter Susan Diller and her husband, Eric Diller, and grandchildren Erica Whittle and Nicholas Diller; stepson Evan Carter and wife Laura Carter and grandson Dylan Carter; and stepdaughter Brienne Carter and husband Derek Babcock. He is also survived by his siblings, John G. Schmohl, Florence Schmohl Blankenship, Patricia Schmohl Cannon, Dee Schmohl Watkins, Richard Schmohl, Katie Schmohl Mulkerne, as well as their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.
A small memorial service will be held for family members on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Summit Crossing Community Church in Huntsville, Alabama.
He rejoiced in the grace of Christ that covers sin and calls the lost home.
