Mr. George Franklin Mann, age 72 of Altoona, passed away Sunday, October 09, 2022. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5-7:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church #2 of Altoona, with Brother Lynn Buckelew and Brother Chris Aldridge officiating. Mr. Mann will lie-in-state at 12:00 pm till the time of service, burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Joy Mann; daughters Sarah George (Michael), Kenna Spencer (Preston), and Melissa Brann (Chris); sisters Sue Cowart, Ann Buckelew (Randy), and Jean Umphrey; brother Donald Mann; special friend Terry Sims; and grandchildren Christian George, McKayla George, Mason Spencer, Katelin Spencer, and Abigail Brann.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Elise Mann; sisters Nancy Jimmerson, and Betty Mann; and brother Bobby Mann.
Pallbearers will include Rick Teal, Jason Hilley, G.W. Mann, Ace Spears, Austin Fountaine, and Ayden Pankey. Honorary pallbearers will include his grandchildren.
