Surrounded by family and the love of God, George Edward McReynolds, age 89, of Guntersville, Alabama passed away on October 30, 2024.
Mr. McReynolds’ career began when he was 17 years old as a pilot on a tow boat. He always had a love for tow boats and even built one, In 1985, he started Guntersville Marine Inc.. In his spare time, he loved to do woodworking and loved to fish. But his family and friends were his biggest love.
He is survived by his wife, Lou McReynolds; son, Greg McReynolds (Nancy); daughters, Gwen Joyner (TJ), Laura Bell (Gary) and Cynthia Foster (Mike); grandchildren, Lance Joyner (Ashley), Matthew Foster (Kayley) ,Madison Dorman (Jackson), JD Bell (Chasie), Connor McReynolds, Jeffrey Bell, Jeremy Bell, Jonathan Bell (Jessica), Lauren McReynolds; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Joyner, Drake Joyner, Hattie Bell, Ada Bell, Alivia Foster and Bennet Dorman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Joseph McReynolds and Lois Mildred Crain McReynolds along with brothers, William “Bill” McReynolds, Jack McReynolds and Dale McReynolds.
