Funeral service for George Edsel Foster, 77, will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Barbee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Foster died on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born August 1, 1943, in Limestone County to George H. Foster and Ruby Dale Lovell Foster. He was employed as a police officer for the Hartselle Police Department, prior to his retirement and was a United States Army Veteran.
Preceding him in death were his wife: Linda Faye Foster, a daughter: Crisandria Foster, two brothers: Roger Foster and Kenneth Foster, a sister: Jan Foster and his parents.
Survivors include
One Son – Kenny Foster (Kayte)
Two Daughters- Sonja Whisman (Matt) and
Holly Douglas (Will)
Four Grandchildren – Ashley Grantland,
Karlee Allen,
Brittany Whisman and
Matthew Whisman
One Great Grandchild – Emmit Allen
and survived by a long line of extended family
Pallbearers will be Kenny Foster, Matt Whisman, Sr., Matthew Whisman, Jr. , Will Douglas, Camron Williams and Kevin Douglas .
